A native to the region, Joe has long called the Pocono Mountains his home. Skilled in various sectors, including business, management, logistics and technology, Joe brings a fresh prospective to Brookdale Recovery. In addition to his expertise in operational oversight, his own journey to recovery has granted him a unique ability to be both leader and peer. Having struggled with addiction himself, Joe understands what it is to be the patient in treatment. His empathy and compassion come from a very personal place of experience, allowing him to reach individuals in a way that is truly inspiring.
Joe has held positions both in and out of the treatment industry. He began his professional career at the NASCAR facility, Pocono International Raceway, where he had several positions including that of Vice President. In these various capacities, Joe had the opportunity to serve on the management team responsible for event operations, logistics, marketing and sponsorships.
While the race track will always hold a place in Joe’s heart, his passion for helping others soon became his life’s work. His journey to recovery would soon open the flood gates to new opportunities.
Starting on a volunteer basis, Joe went back to the treatment center where he started his recovery to try and help others any way he could…and it was a decision that changed his life and career path. With much work and dedication, both professionally and personally, he worked his way up the ladder. Over 7 years, Joe held leadership positions as Patient Care Advocate, Director of Special Projects, Director of Information Technology and Digital Marketing, Director of Operations, and his most recent position, as Chief Operating Officer & Executive Director.
Although his professional expertise is a surefire asset to Brookdale’s leadership team, it is Joe’s ability to be all things at once that brings an undeniable force to our treatment center. He is the former patient that refuses to give up hope on even the most “hopeless” cases; the co-worker that always lends a hand; the boss that places his employees’ growth and development first; and a man that sees the endless possibilities of life when recovery is put before all.
